What is Jyotish/Vedic Astrology?
Jyoti means light and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) originated in ancient India more than 5,000 years ago and it is an integral part of Vedic philosophy, yoga practice and Ayurveda.

Chart interpretation generally focuses on the four primary purposes in life: dharma (our capacity to align ourselves with natural law and to create purpose and meaning in life), artha (the capacity to generate wealth and gain mastery over issues related to money matters and business), kama (the capacity to fulfill one’s desires in relationship and society in general) and moksha (the capacity for spiritual development and knowledge as well as our liberation from this world).

In everyday language, this means that we should be able to determine the capacity of an individual to assign meaning and spiritual depth to life experiences (dharma), the capacity to master sustenance for self, family, and community through career, position, and authority (artha), the capacity to have appropriate desires and attractions in relation to our fellow humans (kama), and finally the capacity to overcome our attachments to the foregoing and to release ourselves from the ignorance and confusion of human existence (moksha).
The emphasis of my work is on timing the fructification of the promise in the natal chart. I examine your chart to evaluate the destiny in different areas of your life, as well as the timing of these manifestations. My work has to do with practical guidance in areas that are important to you and we all have questions related to career, business, finances, relationships, health, spiritual life, psychological life, happiness and strife, etc.
What to expect?
My Approach
In any consultation, I offer my interpretation and insight into your chart in terms of opportunities or challenges and the reasons why they arise.

Vedic Astrology uses a set of scientific rules of prediction based on planetary influences. These influences are seen as soul forces or karmic patterns that are destined to manifest as events or experiences in our lives. In general terms, planets can be either benefic or malefic by their very nature or by their temporal disposition based on the precise moment of birth.

If there is a predominance of benefic influences on a particular part of the chart, say for example relationships and marriage, then you will have a stable and satisfying experience in that area of life and you will be able to fulfill your desires. If the opposite is true, then you will be predisposed to experiences that give rise to challenge, strife, and a lack of fulfillment. These are referred to as karmic patterns, and according to the philosophical background to this subject, you are destined to experience your karmas and that cannot be avoided.

The good news is that once we become conscious, all karmas come to an end. This is the teaching of the Bhagavad Gita. Thus, we can say that trancendence comes with insight and insight comes from experience, therefore experience is necessary in any path towards wholeness. Free-will is central to this entire topic and we are free to choose our attitude towards our destiny at any time. This is our freedom, but destiny itself is our teacher.

Meditation is a vital practice when it comes to altering one’s consciousness and cultivating one’s mind. I offer mantras and reading material to those who wish to pursue that practice.
